Bali changed me.

I first came to this island and felt something I hadn't felt in a long time — stillness. The kind that lives in rice fields at dawn, in the smell of incense, in the way the light falls golden through palm trees at the end of the day. I felt at home here in a way I couldn't explain. Like something in me recognised something in this place.

I was living a perfectly ordinary life in Europe. A corporate job, a busy schedule, the kind of life that looks fine from the outside but leaves you quietly searching for something more. Bali didn't just feel like a holiday. It felt like a reminder of who I actually was.

The idea behind Jiwa Bali was simple.

I wanted to bring that feeling home.

Not the tourist version of Bali — the fridge magnets and the rush. The real one. The slow mornings, the warm earth, the way women here move through the world — unhurried, embodied, free.

I started noticing the fabrics. Natural linen in earthy tones. Clothes that moved with the body instead of constraining it. Pieces with a quiet confidence — nothing to prove, everything to feel.

That's what I wanted to make. Clothing that carries the soul of this island.
